Otto Lucius was until recently Managing Director of Austrian Society for Bank Research and still is Co-Editor of „BankArchiv“, a monthly journal on banking and finance. He is also lecturer at the University of Graz, teaching Investment Counselling and Financial Planning, and is giving lectures in Wealth Management in the EMBA programme of University of Liechtenstein, Vaduz.
Otto Lucius was educated at the University of Vienna in Law and at the Economic University of Vienna in Business Administration. He was appointed manager of BankAkademie Wien, an independent educational and training institution in 1983. In 1988 BankAkademie was merged into Austrian Society for Bank Research, with Otto Lucius becoming Managing Director of the Society. 1995 he joined Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, holding the position of Head of Department Investment Counselling and Corporate Finance until 2005. In autumn 2000 Otto Lucius founded Österreichischer Verband Financial Planners” (AFP – Austrian Financial Planners) currently being Chair of the Board. He is also Director at the Board of EFPA. He is Managing Partner of Banking Education and Examination Centre – BEC GmbH, an organisation specialised on online trainings. Recently he was appointed Chair of TQC –Training and Qualification Commission of EFFAS.
